Recommended Fishing Tackle for Arrow Valley Lake
The most successful methods for the bream and carp are “method” and “open end” feeder rigs with 6-8lb reel lines teamed with size 16-18 hooks and 4-5lb hook lengths, best baits are sweetcorn, bread, pellets and worms in the summer months, and, for pole enthusiasts good bags of roach, perch and smaller skimmer bream to over 30lb are regularly taken.
The Arrow Valley Visitor Centre controls the fishing rights on the Arrow Valley Lake. As such you will need to purchase a day ticket or an annual pass from us to be able to fish the water, and you will also need to have a valid fishing permit.
